AN APARTMENT IN A TENEMENT HOUSE FULL OF SECRETS
Bright, spacious and well thought out. These terms perfectly describe an apartment for rent in a Warsaw tenement house from the 50s, which has undergone a general metamorphosis. The space is maintained in soft, tinted colors, and a large amount of sunlight makes the apartment look much larger.
The apartment with an area of 45 sq. m., equipped with appliance from the 80s required a general renovation to provide a sense of comfort to future tenants.
We offered two solutions to the Investor: the first consisting of refreshing the interior of the apartment while maintaining the old layout of the walls, and the second involving a comprehensive metamorphosis and change of the layout of the rooms. The owner decided on a general renovation.
Thanks to the reconstruction, which included the demolition and relocation of some partition walls, we brought out the potential of the apartment, creating a much better planned space. We made maximum use of the space by adapting the rooms to their functions.
As a result of renovation works, three rooms were created from two rooms: a common living area with a kitchen, dining room and relaxation area and two rooms.
Thanks to these measures, the property can be rented for residential purposes as well as comfortable, intimate offices or co-working space.
The interior has been kept in a bright, neutral color palette conducive to silence.
In accessories and furniture consistently appear shades of bronze, beige and olive green. In the apartment there are only the necessary, carefully selected elements of equipment, so that this small space seems more spacious.
We saved and refreshed the old oak parquet, and in the living room, lobby and toilet we designed a microcement floor.
The room that has undergone the greatest metamorphosis is the bathroom. Now it is dominated by white, gray and black, and the whole is maintained in a minimalist style. We have placed in it all the necessary equipment: an elegant toilet, a large sink and a comfortable shower. When choosing furniture and equipment for the interior of properties for rent, subjected to intensive use, we always pay attention to durability and the materials from which they are made.
Due to the small cubicle in the bathroom we gave up the washing machine, which was placed in the furniture in the hall. This treatment saved valuable space in the bathroom and created a comfortable space for the laundry.
