APARTAMENT WITH AN AFRICAN SOUL

The owners of this apartment collect ethnic art, especially from Africa. But their life and work are bound to Chicago. They have entrusted us with preparing an apartment for rent in Warsaw. We carried out the project remotely, discussing the most important issues upon evening teleconferences. The key element for these kinds of projects is mutual trust and it this implementation didn’t lack it.

The apartment consists of open space: the dining room, living room and kitchen, and a separate double bedroom with a wardrobe and a large bathroom. Our goal for this implementation was to create a well-lit, open space. We introduced minor changes to the apartment layout – opened up the space between the living room and the kitchen and enlarged the terrace windows to allow for more light inside. The laundry room was hidden away from view behind a long row of wardrobes in the corridor.

The owners wanted all permanent interior structures to be simple, so that they wouldn’t compete with elements of the ethnic collection presented on the walls.

Furniture and accessories complement the ethnic character of the interior.

The apartment found its first tenants within just two weeks of the renovation and home staging!
